Inspired by her travels, she focuses on immersive design and a deep connection to place.

Her Greek-inspired cave retreat in Joshua Tree, La Cave, has become a backdrop for proposals, weddings, and creative breakthroughs. We sat down with Cherish to talk about her journey in the vacation rental space, her approach to hospitality, and the design philosophy that keeps guests coming back.

How long have you been in the vacation rental industry, and how did you get started?

I've been hosting for 9 years! I started in 2016 when I purchased my first vacation rental in Anaheim. Before that, I traveled frequently for work and fell in love with the idea of bringing the magic of different places into beautifully designed spaces. I wanted to create unique stays that transport guests to another world, allowing them to experience the same sense of wonder and escape that I found in my world travels. That passion has driven me to keep growing and curating unforgettable destinations.

What is your favorite rental property you have and why do you love it?

La Cave by Casa Cabin is definitely a guest favorite, and it’s one of mine too! It’s a Greek-inspired cave retreat in Joshua Tree with a pool and hot tub, designed to be a complete escape. I love hearing guest feedback about their amazing experiences—many have proposed, gotten married, or found new inspiration here. We’ve even had guests return three or four times in less than a year! Seeing how much joy this space brings has solidified my focus on creating unique stays for future developments.

What do you love the most about hosting?

I love creating spaces that transport guests and make them feel like they’ve stepped into another world. Seeing guests completely relax and connect—whether with nature, their loved ones, or even themselves—is so rewarding. Hearing stories of how my spaces have inspired engagements, weddings, and even creative breakthroughs makes all the hard work worth it. It reminds me that hospitality isn’t just about providing a place to sleep—it’s about curating an unforgettable experience.

Can you share a particular moment or guest review that made all the hard work worth it?

There are so many moments that remind me why I love what I do, but this guest’s review captures what I hope to create with every stay:

This place is truly an oasis. When we were driving up the road, we knew we had chosen the right place. The property is secluded and very private - perfect for a relaxing retreat alone, or with friends. The house is absolutely gorgeous. Very clean and not cluttered. Cherish and Ramon sent very detailed instructions before check-in, so everything was a breeze. Trust me, you'll want to spend most of your time in the pool/spa or by the fire pit. We disconnected and barely looked at our phones - we loved it.

We had plans to go out to dinner but decided to eat at home instead because we didn't want to leave! The home is stocked with everything you would need to cook and the appliances are great. We decided to heat the pool (great decision) and Cherish & Ramon were always super responsive. Usually a reply within minutes for anything we needed.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! We have already had a lot of friends ask us for the link. We absolutely loved this place and will be back.

How do you create unique and memorable experiences for your guests?

Every property I design is inspired by travel and storytelling. I focus on making every detail feel special—from architecture to curated amenities. I want guests to step into a completely new world when they arrive.

Your brand and guest experience start before they even arrive. A beautiful, well-styled listing with strong storytelling on your social media account can make all the difference in attracting your ideal guests!

What's the most recent item that you can remember that you've ordered from HostGPO?
