Miranda Gray, the creator of Stockholm Haus, grew up in the picturesque town of Stockholm, Wisconsin, a place she describes as one of the most beautiful in the United States. Though she now lives in Boca Raton, Florida, her heart remains tied to her hometown, where her family has owned nearly 400 acres of land for generations. When the chance came to build on this cherished property, Miranda saw an opportunity to share its beauty and honor her family’s legacy.
Stockholm Haus was inspired by Miranda’s desire to create a space that fosters connection and togetherness. From the oversized dining table to the expansive 45-foot pool, the property encourages guests to disconnect from the outside world and reconnect with each other. With help from HostGPO, Miranda brought her vision to life, transforming the family land into a luxurious retreat.
Rooted in her Swedish heritage, the design of Stockholm Haus embraces Scandinavian minimalism, featuring two distinct yet connected homes—a dark, moody main house and a serene, bright guest house. Every detail was thoughtfully curated to blend elegance with comfort. For Miranda, the most fulfilling part of Stockholm Haus is sharing her family’s legacy and the land that has brought joy to four generations, offering guests a place to create memories of their own.

Hi I’m Miranda and this is Stockholm Haus. We are in one of the most beautiful areas I think in the entire United States. We are located in gorgeous Stockholm, Wisconsin. My family owned just under 400 acres here and I needed to introduce this place to people and really create this beautiful retreat for others to enjoy the space.
It's luxury, it's gorgeous, it's Scandinavian. It's unlike anything you can find within 200 miles. And I've done the research. I mean there's some smaller places, but not like this.
This is 5,000 square feet and we have eight bedrooms and six and a half bathrooms and a pool cabana and a 45 foot pool and this giant entertaining deck, it's just designed perfectly for big gatherings and connections.
This place was designed around connection and reconnection. I believe that there are many lonely people in the world and I wanted people to disconnect from their phones, disconnect from their work and connect together.
The entire design is my design from start to finish. I created this place. I knew exactly the heart and the intent of what I wanted. But getting everything ordered and, um, that entire, it's, it's it can look like a nightmare to some people. It looked, it was a lot for me.
I'm full time mom, I'm a full time professional, and it was the time when I was like, oh my gosh, what am I gonna do? I felt alone, I didn't have any help, and even those that told me that they would help me, I couldn't really rely on. So I was introduced to HostGPO and honestly, it was a life saver, was a game changer for me. I signed up, it was very easy, and then I was connected to Jen.
I just felt so taken care of and understood and listen to my goals, my timeline, my budget, everything that I needed, especially the minimalism and the design, the luxury, the textures that I really cared about. Um, Jen really listen to me.
And then she just immediately started saying, hey, what about this, this and this and this connecting me to pieces that I didn't even know existed. So it was um, it was just easy and thoughtful and just as if I met a new friend. I felt really taken care of.
The design inspiration was full Scandinavian. We have one house which is the dark, moody, sensual vibe, and then in the second house, which is the guest house that is white, creamy, calming. So you have two totally different homes but connected in one.
This is a luxury vacation rental where everything matters. So the bed frames that are thick and solid. It was a risk because it was a farmhouse design, right? But Jen said, give it a try. It'll work within your Scandinavian design. And it does perfectly. The colors are perfect. I love that bed.
I also love all of the rugs because they're so perfectly Scandinavian. And the coffee table, who doesn't love a giant coffee table? It's perfect. People sit on it.
At this point, we've only been open for half a year, but so far we've had a vow renewal, a leadership retreat, corporate retreats, bridal parties, and also we've had birthday parties.
I love that I'm able to share this special place with people and I really hope that it gives them joy and brings, you know wonderful memories for their life like it has for me.
