In Nashville, Tennessee there are three homes completely themed to the Queen of Country, Dolly herself. 10 minutes from Broadway, these vacation rentals are perfect for groups looking for a fun, unique getaway. How many years have you been in the short term rental industry and how did you get started?
I started in 2015 in the short term rental industry with a family member helping when they were out if town. I left my full time corporate job in 2016 to to this full time. I now work with StayComo managing over 30 units in Nashville. I love hosting and only regret not doing it sooner.
What do you find most rewarding about your career?
We are a bachelorette/girls trip town. I love getting to talk to them and tailoring my recommendations to what they are looking to experience in Nashville and hearing they had a great visit and want to come back.
What is your favorite rental property you have and why do you love it?
The Dolly Houses because they were so fun to decorate.
What's the craziest story you have from hosting?
Oh that's a hard one. So many are inappropriate but one for publication is when the cleaners arrived they had moved every piece of furniture to one bedroom including the items in the kitchen cabinets. It was only a 2 day stay and they never responded to our messages or calls. Nothing was missing or damaged. I always wonder about that one.
What's one "pro-tip" you'd be willing to pass on to the community?
It's all about the pictures! Design your space with that in mind.
What's the most recent item that you can remember that you've ordered from HostGPO?
We used Backdrop paint in our units.
What would you tell others about whether to join HostGPO?
These are products we have been using and now I can get them at a reduced rate and consolidated for one stop shopping.
