HostGPO member, Renee, owner and operator of the River Barn located in the historic village of Essex, Connecticut, recently did our member spotlight interview! When asked what she finds most rewarding about her career, she says the best part is, “the anticipation of the guests’ experience.” Having only been in the short term / vacation rental industry for one year, Renee never disappoints and brings her A-game daily.

“Starting as a pandemic project, it has been such a wonderful creative outlet in between raising two little children.”

She created the River Barn with the intention of it being a home away from home. A vacation is all about relaxation. When asked what pro-tip she would pass onto the community, she states that learning Instagram and creative marketing is a must.
