Member Spotlight: Schoolhouse Stay

Venturing into the short-term rental industry just a year ago, Natasha Laity Snyder embarked on a unique journey by acquiring and renovating an old schoolhouse in Ohio. Her creation, Schoolhouse Stay, marries vintage charm with modern amenities, offering guests an exceptional experience.

When it comes to HostGPO, Natasha loves our seamless accessibility to top-notch products at discounted rates, specially designed for durability and available in bulk. Join us in unraveling Natasha’s journey as the Quirky Innkeeper at Schoolhouse Stay and discover how HostGPO has been an integral part of her hosting success.

How many years have you been in the short-term rental industry and how did you get started?

One year! We bought this school with the determination that the only way we could justify owning it and paying for it would be to rent out rooms (plus it’s really cool and people love it).

What do you find most rewarding about your career?

I love meeting people from all over the country and making them happy.

What’s the craziest story you have from hosting?

I don’t have very many crazy stories (yet!) and that’s okay with me. I did have a huge laugh when our first client left her fake eyelashes stuck to the couch, and I thought it was a spider.

What’s one “pro-tip” you’d be willing to pass on to the community?

Get massive quantities of white linens. You won’t regret it, and they won’t go to waste. And, most stains come out with bleach or Oxyclean.

What’s the most recent item that you can remember that you’ve ordered from HostGPO?

I get lots of linens from Standard Textile. The quality is great. Also in the pic is a mattress from Helix which our clients LOVE!!

What would you tell others about whether to join HostGPO?

HostGPO makes it so simple to get excellent quality products at a discount price, which are made to be durable and you can purchase in bulk. I’m very pleased with everything I have purchased from them.
