Three years ago, Veronica Quance began hosting travelers in her own personal vacation property. Today she is expanding her company The Vacation Collective with a spotlight home called the Lake Forest in Georgia. Her vacation rental is expansive with natural light flooding the home, reminding guests to appreciate the luxuries in life. With five bedrooms, a game room, and private boat dock, guests experience all the luxury being lakefront has to offer. How many years have you been in the short term rental industry and how did you get started?
3 years. We began with a personal vacation property we were not using as much as we thought we would. the company has expanded with this spotlight property and will continue to acquire top tier vacation rentals in the coming years.
What do you find most rewarding about your career?
We love providing a home where families can make beautiful memories.
What is your favorite rental property you have and why do you love it?
Our favorite has to be our lake house. The view of the water and comfort of the home make it a wonderful place to visit to unwind and just breathe.
What’s the craziest story you have from hosting?
One of our properties was ground zero for a fireworks display by a group of groomsmen. They decided to set them off from their bare bottoms.

What’s one “pro-tip” you’d be willing to pass on to the community?
Add outside the box amenities to your homes. We put top of the line items such as weighted blankets and offer a pillow bar for the guests use in our homes.
What’s the most recent item that you can remember that you’ve ordered from HostGPO?
I purchased a whole home’s worth of furniture for our most recent acquisition. My favorite piece was the foosball table!
What would you tell others about whether to join HostGPO?
