Our member, Caroline, owner of the Earth & Sky Dwellings the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains recently did our member spotlight interview! How many years have you been in the short term rental industry and how did you get started?

We have been in the rental business for five years. We started with just one treehouse; honestly, because we thought it would be fun :)

What do you find most rewarding about your career?

Seeing your guests really happy.

What is your favorite rental property you have and why do you love it?

We currently have 6 properties and they are all so different that it is hard to pick a favorite. We made them so different so guests would come back for a new experience. Check us out, earthandskydwellings.com

What's the craziest story you have from hosting?

We had a couple bring their full Lord of the Rings costumes for a photoshoot at Hobbit Knoll.

What's one "pro-tip" you'd be willing to pass on to the community?

Go the extra mile to create something out of the ordinary. Guests return to experience something they don't have at home or see every day.

What would you tell others about whether to join HostGPO?

It's really a no-brainer! As a very small business, we tend to get lost in the big ocean that is Corporate America. HostGPO is bringing us together to enhance what we have already gotten started.
