We had the pleasure of chatting with Colt Moss, an investor and builder who recently ventured into the short-term rental (STR) industry with Kasa BnB. Colt’s journey is as inspiring as it is relatable—balancing life as a father to a lively three-year-old while diving deep into the world of STRs.
From carefully designing gorgeous properties to navigating the quirks of hosting, Colt brings passion and humor to the table. Let’s uncover his story, explore his favorite tips, and learn what fuels his success in this exciting space.
I got my start in the short-term rental industry about a year ago. As someone who enjoys investing in things that interest me, whether it be a business, a person, or any other captivating topic, I was naturally drawn to the industry. To ensure I was well-prepared for the challenges ahead, I spent a significant amount of time researching various aspects of STR.
The good guests, the good reviews, and those alerts for new bookings—there's nothing quite like it.
Our studio was built from scratch with careful thought put into every detail, resulting in glowing reviews from clients and visitors. The space is designed to inspire creativity and foster productivity, and we regularly update and upgrade our facilities to meet evolving needs.
Oh, it has to be the guy who brought two very large dogs unannounced to a 200sqft studio and then denied bringing them. Luckily, Airbnb took my side after I sent them a photo from the parking spot camera.
The first try of anything usually sucks and needs some fixing, and that’s okay. Learn from it!
Probably soap, but that's boring! So let's go with the 11 helix mattresses.
I bet you won't do it! (wink wink).
