Our member, Rececca, who manages Estate Travel, a company that manages luxury vacation rentals in Malibu, Los Angeles, and Beverly Hills on AirBNB filled out our member spotlight interview and sent in some amazing pictures of rugs she purchased through our RugsUSA discount program that complement her incredible rooms. We trust our interview with her will interest our readers and hopefully give our members some good decorating ideas for their own vacation rentals!

What do you find most rewarding about your career?

I love creating spaces that make people feel at home from the second they walk in, and give them something they wouldn't otherwise have. The most rewarding thing is reading a review that mentions someone feeling "at home" :)

What is your favorite rental property you have and why do you love it?

My favorite rental property unfortunately burned down in the Malibu fires last year - it was a ranch property with 3 structures on it and we hosted weddings there as well...hopefully we get a few new airbnb built there soon!

What's the craziest story you have from hosting?

One of the coolest experiences was when the founder of Airbnb, Brian Chesky, actually booked one of our units for himself!

What's one "pro-tip" you'd be willing to pass on to the community?

ALWAYS ASK FOR PICTURES! Whenever we have a guest complaint, we usually ask them to send a picture FIRST. Usually the problem can be resolved from just looking at what's wrong.
