How many years have you been in the short term rental industry and how did you get started?

We’re brand new to the short term rental industry. We’ve been travelers for quite some time, and have been diving into podcasts about hosting/investing for the last few years. About 1.5 years ago we started the process of building our first rental unit, which is just now up and running!

What do you find most rewarding about your career?

The opportunity to have more freedom in our lifestyles, to meet so many other like-minded people, and to give guests a really enjoyable experience!

What is your favorite rental property you have and why do you love it?

We promise it’s not only our favorite because it’s our only one! Ham’s Haus Lutsen has a special place in our hearts. It’s named after our first dog, Hamilton, and is just as unique as he is! A fully finished home converted from four shipping containers.

What’s the craziest story you have from hosting?

We aren’t far into our rental journey, however the whole process of making the logistics of a home like this work in our location has been pretty crazy.

What’s one “pro-tip” you’d be willing to pass on to the community?

You can never have too many statement pieces 😂
